When standard band heaters leak or cannot maintain a constant temperature, the result is scrap, energy loss and downtime. The enclosed construction and precise fit of the ZAK compact aluminium band heater provide stable temperature control and reduce unplanned interruptions in injection moulding and extrusion.
Where uniform temperatures on barrels or tools are essential, conventional solutions reach their limits if gaps, leaks or poor contact reduce the performance of standard band heaters. ZAK band heaters are designed for applications requiring stable processes, repeatable results and minimal energy loss.
ZAK band heaters are regularly retrofitted to existing machines or used as replacement solutions. Each design is matched to the relevant geometry for straightforward integration into existing equipment.

Compact aluminium, mica, ceramic and mica-insulated band heaters
The ZAK compact aluminium band heater from Ihne & Tesch is an enclosed, melt-tight band heater with a wall thickness of approximately 11 mm. It is used on barrels, nozzles and tools in plastics processing. Its precise contoured fit provides uniform, energy-efficient temperature distribution. ZAK band heaters are used primarily on injection moulding machines and extrusion lines.
ZAK compact aluminium band heaters from Ihne & Tesch are suitable for almost all common injection moulding machines, including equipment from Arburg Allrounder, Engel, Krauss-Maffei, Sumitomo Demag, Wittmann Battenfeld, Netstal, Fanuc, Ferromatik Milacron, Husky, Toshiba, Boy and Haitian. Installed on barrels and nozzles, they provide uniform temperature control throughout the plastics process.
ZAK compact aluminium band heaters from Ihne & Tesch can operate at temperatures up to approximately 450 °C. They are therefore suitable for almost all standard processing temperatures in plastics processing and extrusion.
ZAK band heaters from Ihne & Tesch are custom-made for the relevant machine or tool. Available options include different dimensions and connection designs, single- or multi-phase versions, holes and cut-outs, temperature-sensor holders, disc-spring fasteners, segmented designs and UL-recognised versions for international machinery.
ZAK band heaters are CNC-machined by Ihne & Tesch to customer specifications rather than cast. This allows the geometry and fit to be matched precisely to the application. The typical delivery time for a custom design is approximately two to three weeks.
ZAK compact aluminium band heaters from Ihne & Tesch can be supplied in a UL-recognised version on request. This design is frequently required for machinery exported to the North American market.
