Type EP is screwed directly into containers, tools or systems with a thread (brass or stainless steel). It heats solid, liquid and gaseous media without detours and is also suitable for horizontal installation.
Five variants: A (IP 00, open connections), BA (IP 50, stainless steel hood), SV (IP 40, aluminium with thermostat/tap switch), V (IP 50, aluminium) and WAL (IP 65, painted aluminium standard housing). All variants are supplied with a copper sealing ring. The selection depends on the protection class, environment, wiring and desired operation.
If the medium is to be heated directly - i.e. in water tanks, oil baths, galvanic baths or air heaters. Standard cartridges (PE, PDS, PDH) are pressed into holes and heat the tool, not the medium directly.
Depending on the medium: water 6-10 W/cm², thin oil 1.5-3.6 W/cm², still air 1.5-3 W/cm², cast in light metal 6 W/cm². The right choice prevents local overheating and extends service life.
Yes. The SV housing variant offers an integrated thermostat or 3-stage switch. In addition, temperature sensors are available in all variants as an option.
