Frequently asked questions

The PDH/PZH achieves a watt density of 20 W/cm², the PDS/PDZ 15 W/cm². Both work up to 750 °C with a welded base and hole tolerance H7. The PDH/PZH is the right choice when more power is needed in limited installation space.

PDH denotes the version in metric dimensions (mm), PZH the version in inch dimensions. The technical data are identical - the difference lies solely in the measurement system and the diameter tolerance (PDH: -0.02 to -0.06 mm, PZH: ±0.02 mm).

From Ø 10 mm, PDH/PZH cartridge heaters can be supplied with an integrated thermocouple (type L, J or K) or Pt100 resistance sensor. This enables direct temperature measurement at the heating point and improves control accuracy.

16 connection options from Type A to Type S are available for PDH/PZH cartridge heaters: from Type A with glass fiber insulated nickel wire up to 700 °C to Type S with screw-in nipple. There are also contact or cable fittings, terminal boxes, fastening variants such as stop ring, PAF tab, base plate and spigot as well as screw connections from Ø 23 mm.

Wherever a lot of heating power is needed in a small space: tool heating in injection moulding, wide slot dies in extrusion, screen changers, packaging machines and special machine construction. The 20 W/cm² enables short heating times even in compact installation conditions.

Custom-made products are delivered in two to three weeks. Standard dimensions from the stock program are available at short notice. Contact us for a binding delivery promise.
