High-temperature cartridge heaters up to 750 °C with the tightest fit tolerance. PDS ground (−0.02 to −0.05 mm), PDZ drawn (±0.02 mm). Thermocouple can be integrated from Ø 10 mm.
cartridge heaters type PDS/PDZ from Ihne & Tesch are for high temperature applications designed up to 750 °C. The tightest fit tolerance of all types of cartridge heaters for optimal heat transfer and maximum service life.

Technical data, dimensions and instructions for use for design and construction
PDS has a ground jacket with a tolerance of −0.02 to −0.05 mm — the tightest fit of any cartridge heater. PDZ has a drawn jacket with ±0.02 mm tolerance and is the more economical alternative. Both reach 750 °C.
PDS/PDZ at temperatures above 500 °C or when the tightest fit tolerances are required. PE ranges up to 400 °C, PDE up to 500 °C. PDS/PDZ offer the highest temperature and the best fit.
connection options for high temperatures are available for PDS/PDZ cartridge heaters. Highly heat-resistant versions with ceramic beads (Type E) are available up to 720 °C. Depending on the version, standard connections are specified up to 250 °C or 400 °C. In addition, contact or cable fittings, terminal boxes and special connections are possible depending on the installation situation.
From Ø 10 mm, PDS/PDZ cartridge heaters can be supplied with an integrated thermocouple. This enables direct temperature measurement at the heating point.
