Mica-insulated heating and cooling combination with air cooling for plastics extrusion. Economical split-shell design with one-third cooling surface and two-thirds heating surface. Segment lengths from 20 mm.
HKZ heating and cooling combinations are used in plastics extrusion. Mica insulation provides an economical solution for applications up to 280 °C with active air cooling.
HKZ heating and cooling combinations are suitable for:

Technical data, comparison and operating instructions for engineering and design
HKZ mica is the economical solution for temperatures up to 280 °C and offers the most compact segment length from 20 mm. HKK ceramic reaches 400 °C, while HAK compact aluminium reaches 450 °C with higher thermal conductivity.
The cooling jacket covers one-third of the barrel surface and the heater covers two-thirds, enabling simultaneous heating and cooling for precise temperature control in extrusion.
Diameters from 55 to 500 mm and lengths from 100 to 1,000 mm are available. Segment lengths start at 20 mm, making this the most compact heating and cooling version.
Cable duct, cable fitting or plug connection. Various blower connections and self-closing flaps at the air outlet are available as options.
Thanks to in-house manufacture, the typical delivery time for custom designs is approximately two to three weeks.
