Ceramic-insulated heating and cooling combination with air cooling for plastics extrusion. Split-shell construction with one-third cooling surface and two-thirds heating surface. One- or multi-part heater with a separate cooling jacket.
HKK heating and cooling combinations are used in plastics extrusion where precise temperature control with active cooling is required. Ceramic insulation permits higher operating temperatures than the mica-insulated HKZ version.
HKK heating and cooling combinations are suitable for:
Technical data, comparison and operating instructions for engineering and design
HKK ceramic is suitable for temperatures up to 400 °C and provides an excellent balance of temperature range and response speed. HAK compact aluminium reaches 450 °C with higher thermal conductivity, while HKZ mica is the economical solution up to 280 °C.
Cooling is provided by an air blower. The split-shell cooling jacket covers one-third of the surface and the heater covers two-thirds. Options include a hinged cooling jacket, integrated blower and self-closing air-outlet flap.
HKK ceramic heating and cooling combinations are manufactured in diameters from 60 to 500 mm, lengths from 100 to 1,000 mm and segment lengths from 28 mm.
Yes. The standard cooling jacket is steel, but stainless steel and other materials are available on request.
Thanks to in-house manufacture, the typical delivery time for custom designs is approximately two to three weeks.
