Bogie hearth ovensFeeding aids

For heavy, bulky and large-volume components: shuttle ovens with ergonomic loading solutions for safe, fast and reproducible heating processes. Up to 450°C.

450°C Max. temperature
600kg Heavy parts
PID control
Shuttle kiln with loading aids from Ihne & Tesch
180kg Steel nozzles

Loading at the same height with swivel rollers for six heavy steel nozzles.

600kg Cast engine cooler

Loading trolley with swivel and fixed rollers for two large-volume parts.

Ø 400 × 2.000 Steel pipes

Two loading trolleys and blind plates for long, heavy geometries.

Applications

In the case of shuttle kilns, it is not just the kiln body that makes a difference, but above all the loading. Carriage height, rollers, support, air flow and accessibility determine set-up time, ergonomics and process reliability. The loading trolley is tailored to the weight, geometry and material to be heated.

When a shuttle kiln makes sense

Heavy batches When components can no longer be sensibly inserted into a chamber oven by hand.
Bulky geometries For pipes, nozzles, castings, tools and components with large volumes.
Loading outside the oven The trolley can be prepared, loaded and then driven cleanly into the oven.
Process reliability The support, air flow and ventilation are designed to suit the material to be heated.
  • Heating heavy steel parts (e.g. nozzles, motor housing)
  • Preheating of large components (e.g. steel pipes Ø 400 × 2000 mm)
  • Tempering and drying with loading at the same height

Chamber kiln, shuttle kiln or continuous kiln?

The right oven design depends on weight, geometry, cycle time, loading and desired residence time.

chamber oven Compact batches

For smaller to medium-sized components when loading and handling are economically possible without a separate wagon.

Bogie hearth oven Heavy and bulky

For large, heavy or unwieldy batches with ergonomic loading, better accessibility and a coordinated trolley concept.

Continuous oven Continuous process

For ongoing or cycle-based production with defined dwell time, conveyor technology or film web.

Frequently asked questions

Heavy components such as steel nozzles (180 kg), cast motor housing (600 kg) or steel pipes (Ø 400 × 2000 mm). The loading trolley is tailored to the weight and geometry of the material to be heated.

Loading aids at the same height or completely retractable trolleys with smooth-running swivel and fixed castors. The parts are loaded outside the oven and then retracted.

A shuttle kiln makes sense when components are heavy, bulky or difficult to access. The trolley enables ergonomic loading outside the oven and is tailored to the weight, support and air flow of the batch.

The loading influences setup time, safety, ergonomics and temperature distribution. Therefore, the height of the trolley, rollers, supports and ventilation are designed to suit the material to be heated.

Walk-in shuttle ovens in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC are available - with interior door release and emergency light for the safety of operating personnel.

Electronic PID temperature control with solid-state relay and separate over-temperature protection. Optional program controller with up to 20 programs with 16 segments each.

Shuttle kilns are manufactured individually according to requirements. The delivery time will be determined after the technical details have been clarified.
